Israeli- Portuguese mezzo-soprano, MAYA GOUR, began her musical career as a jazz singer performing in NYC and internationally. She is now a rising talent in the International opera world . In 2023-24 Maya will join Oper Köln as Ensemble member where she will sing Dorabella , Siebel , Hänsel and Ottavia. She will also star as Angelina in a new feature film of La Cenerentola made by director Damiano Michieletto and In May 2024 she will join Jaap van Zweden and HK Phil for several concerts.  Maya is currently an Opera Studio member at  The Dutch National Opera where she sings roles in La Traviata , Salome , Der Zwerg , Anna Bolena and Rusalka . She will return to DNO in September 2024 for the season opening of Rigoletto where she will debute Maddalena. 

Maya has also recently made major role appearances with Reis Opera , Seattle Opera , Teatro Nuovo and Olso Opera House. .

She is a winner of the Rising Star award at the prestige Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition 2022 and a grand finalist at the Tenor Vinas competition 2023
